  I had a simple request, take a piece of audio equipment, and change out 5 capacitors, and 2 resistors for trim pots, in order to improve it's performance. I asked over the phone if they could do this job, they said to bring it in and they would look at it. I came in with a document, that explained step by step what capacitors and resistors to change, complete with schematics and pictures. They turned me away, claiming their technician wouldn't be able to do it. I pressed a little, explaining this was a fairly simple and straightforward job that anyone that repairs stereo equipment should have no problem with. She tried to claim it would take a full day to change out 2 resistors and 5 capacitors. I questioned that, but she refused to take the job.
  
  I question the abilities of an electronics repair shop that can't handle changing out 5 capacitors and 2 resistors. Stay away.
